Toni Diane (Grosse) Zogby, 93, of New Hartford, NY, passed away peacefully, September 25, 2024, with her loving family at her side.
She was born to Leo and Assunta (Tucci) Grosse, July 12, 1931, in Skaneateles, NY. She was raised in Little Falls, NY, where she graduated from its high school. She would later work as a Kindergarten Teacher Assistant, in the Utica City School District, for many years.
On February 23, 1974, she married the love of her life, Michael Zogby. Together they owned Zogby’s Steakhouse, on Herkimer Road, in Schuyler, and shared 33 years of marriage. Her beloved Mike passed away on April 9, 2007.
Toni was a passionate and vivacious woman who loved to dance, watch old Hollywood movies, and play Bingo. She also loved to shop, go to the casino, and cook for her family. Ultimately her greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured holidays, birthdays, and even the smallest occasion when her family was together.
She is survived by her daughter, Karin and son-in-law, Salvatore Capuana of Utica; her daughter, Lisa Mellito of New Hartford; and daughter, Michelle and son-in-law, Art Wolfe, of North Carolina. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Beverly Mellito; son-in-law, Brian Rohacek; grandchildren, Jayson and wife, Sabrina Julian, Ronald Julian, Gary and wife, Alissa Julian, Kristin Wagner and husband, Brian, Shannon and husband, Marcus Maroney, Adam and wife, Alecia Kallfelz, Jonathon Rohacek, and Kari Kallfelz. She was also blessed by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and stepchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kim Rohacek; great grandson, Jayson Julian, Jr., three brothers, Gene, Alex, and Bruno Grosse; and one sister, Mary LaVallo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial, September 28, 10:00 a.m., at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Parish. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. The family will greet visitors following mass.
The family would like to offer their heartfelt thanks to her many caregivers, too numerous to mention, at the Presbyterian Home of CNY, for the care and compassion shown to their mom and family, which will never be forgotten.
Arrangements are with The Matt Funeral Home, Utica.
